Food: Chinatown + RedLight District

The RedLight District in Amsterdam is one of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods. While it’s known for coffeeshops and prostitution, the area offers so much more. Located near Chinatown, it’s also our favourite area for amazing food!

From Zeedijk to Nieuwmarkt, this historic area is packed with cozy restaurants and takeaways serving everything from Chinese dim sum to Korean food. Chinatown is right next to Amsterdam’s RedLight District, offering a vibrant neighborhood where you can taste the rich flavors and traditions brought here by the immigrant community. If you’re in the mood for something delicious then this is the place to be! See below our list of local tried and tested favourites.
